Building a Learning Ecosystem, One Tool at a Time

Building a Learning Ecosystem, One Tool at a Time

The Learning Quest is excited to announce our upcoming Tool Drive, held in partnership with the City of Falls Church’s Recycling Extravaganza. Together, we’re taking a meaningful step toward creating a Tool Lending Library that will serve the community for years to come.

Why tools? Because tools aren’t just objects — they are pathways to skills, creativity, and collaboration. By donating your extra or gently used tools, you are helping build a shared resource where anyone can learn, repair, and create without barriers.

This initiative connects directly to our vision of fostering an open-walled learning ecosystem. Just as our Teddy Bear Fix-It Clinics and the Repair Cafés have shown the power of neighbors coming together to repair and restore, the Tool Lending Library will extend that spirit: empowering learners of all ages to take on projects, solve problems, and spark innovation.

Think of this Tool Drive as a stop along a freeway — one of many milestones on the journey to a vibrant ecosystem where learning doesn’t only happen in classrooms, but in libraries, parks, workshops, and neighborhoods.

start looking around your garage, basement, or workshop for tools ready to find a new life in our community.

Together, we can repair, reuse, and reimagine what learning looks like in the Little City.
